Dr. Bricker earned his Ph.D. at the University of Kansas in 2012.  He is the Assistant Director of the KU debate team and teaches courses in debate and persuasion.  His major research interests are in rhetorical criticism, environmental discourse and argumentation.  His work has been published in a number of journals including Communication Studies, Argumentation and Advocacy, Western Journal of Communication and Contemporary Argumentation and Debate.  Dr. Bricker was part of the national champion debate team at KU in 2009 and helped coach the 2018 national champions.
