Biography

Ekaterina Romanova (Ph.D., University of Florida) is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies. Her research interests include political communication, misinformation, and media effects. More specifically, she examines the influence of media messages on political engagement among ethnic diasporas, political radicalization, and the spread of misinformation. Her research can be found in journals like Mass Communication and Society, Journalism Studies, Political Studies Review, and Public Relations Journal, among other publications. Dr. Romanova teaches courses on political communication and political campaigns.
