Biography —
Saiemeh Wahidi is pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. She holds an M.A. in Leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with an emphasis in Gender Studies from the University of Kansas, as well as a B.A. in Law and Political Science with a focus on Judiciary and Prosecution from Herat University in Afghanistan.
Her research examines minority identities and interpersonal/intercultural communication, with particular attention to the experiences of migrants and women in predominantly white institutions (PWIs) from a communication perspective.
In addition to her academic work, Saiemeh brings extensive experience in coaching and mentoring. She has served as a debate coach at both the University of Kansas and Herat University and currently coaches KU’s British Parliamentary (BP) debate team.
