Biography —
Michelle D. Wilson, PhD, is a Lecturer in the KU Department of Communication Studies. She holds a Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in Organizational Communication from the University of Kansas, a Master of Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Public Administration from Washburn University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas.
With expertise in organizational communication, leadership, and workplace culture, Dr. Wilson’s research focuses on power dynamics, workplace bullying, and hostile work environments in higher education. She integrates principles of fairness, representation, and workplace belonging into her research, teaching, training, and coaching.
Currently, Dr. Wilson serves as the KU Black Alumni Network (KUBAN) President and KU FIRST (student organization for First-Gen students) Faculty Advisor.
